What Happens at a Yoga/Meditation Retreat

A number of you have contacted me saying you are interested in attending the March 2016 Yoga/Meditation Retreat for Women. What happens at a Yoga/Meditation Retreat?  The overall intention of the retreat is to give you an opportunity for rest, reflection, and renewal in a natural environment with other women seeking rest, reflection, and renewal.  The Yoga Lodge is the perfect setting nestled into the forest on Whidbey Island.  The accommodations  are uncomplicated and comfortable with beds for everyone unless you are a hardy soul and would like to sleep outdoors on the land.  The schedule will begin with arrival on Friday afternoon between 3:00 and  4:00.  There will be time to settle in and meet your roomies and then we’ll gather in the studio for  meditation and opening circle.  A delicious evening meal is provided and after dinner, social time and a restorative yoga class to prepare you for sweet dreams.  The next morning will begin with meditation and yoga, and breakfast.  There will be time to be outdoors for a walking meditation during the morning.  After lunch there will be some discussion time and then a trip to the beach.  Afterwards, there will be creativity (play) time.  More yoga and meditation and then personal time until the evening meal.  Saturday evening we will do some chanting and, if wanted, personal sharing time.  Afterwards,  more restorative yoga in  preparation for sweet dreams. Sunday morning will begin with meditation and yoga.  After breakfast we will gather for sharing/reflecting,learnings and finish up by 11:30.  I encourage you to take time to further explore the beauty of Whidbey Island as you make your way back to the ferry terminal.

At the retreat there will be time to journal, to color (with brand new colored pencils) and time to share our learnings as well as create a lasting symbol of the retreat experience.  The yoga practice is appropriate for all levels as well as any newcomers to yoga and meditation.  Everyone is welcome.  Still more questions? Email me and I’ll answer your questions personally.  Remember the January 5th deadline for the $350 fee.  The price includes lodging and food. Car pooling is recommended to make the journey to and from more enjoyable and to reduce the cost of ferry fees.

Love and light,

Kate
